I'm in a decent sized 2 bedroom apartment on W. Taylor Street (200 block) that's a stones throw away from Calhoun Square - a pretty quiet and safe area to live.
You get an average sized bedroom, but also available for you is the living room area, as I don't own TV or any living room furniture, so you'd get that area as well (my current roommate has the living room set up as her studio for school @ SCAD, previous roommate had the living room decked out with nice furniture & a big screen TV, but I rarely ever watch TV nor hang out in there much - i just hit a sports bar if I need to watch a game). I'm not here that much and when I am, I keep to myself with reading most of the time, so the bathroom and kitchen would be the only common areas. This is also the most convenient location to everything, downtown, s-side, 516, Hunter AAF, South, AASU, SCAD, hospitals, etc...North of Oglethorpe Mall - fab.

The Background:
The building is a three story, 160 year old house converted into apartments sometime in the 70's. Our pad is on the second floor and has a killer view overlooking Lafayette Square. There are two other people in the building (one above and one below), both of the neighbors are super cool, easily the best I've ever known.
The Location:
Right in between Pinkies (greasy bar) and The Cathedral of St. John Baptist (absurdly huge church), this location is perfect for people who either don't have a car or don't like to drive their car. Anything and everything worth doing in Savannah is within only a few minutes of walking. Parking is metered in front of the building... but there's non-metered parking on the side of the church (just across the street).
The $$$$:
The price is crazy super awesome cheap ($825 or $412 split two ways) and just right for someone who doesn't like to spend money. Utilities typically run around $50 a month and about $80 or so on the months with the water bill.
The Other Details:
The layout is a bit odd but it only requires a small amount of sacrifice in regards to personal space between you and your roommate. Don't count it out yet, just stop by and see what I'm talking about. We're ditching this place because I decided to move off to NYC so my roommate is going to get a place around the corner with a friend.
